Anxiety: can present in a wide variety of ways shown below with brief descriptons:
Panic Disorders without Agoraphobia: Feeling one is having a heart attack or stroke but patient is able to leave home to get help.
Panic Disorders with Agoraphobia: Feeling one is having a heart attack or stroke but patient is unable to leave home to get help.
Simple Phobias: Fear of something or some sitaution.
Agoraphobia: Fear of leaving the home because something bad might happen.
Social Phobia: Fear of social gatherings or crowds.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Obsessions are thoughts that we cannot stop having, and we have compulsions to do certain things to deal with the thoughts.
Acute Stress Disorder: Our response to a trauma for the first 4 weeks after.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: Our response to a trauma after 4 weeks.
Generalized Anxiety Dsorder: Feelings of worry that are not connected to any particular event or trigger
