TRAUMA
A description of an event or events that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury, or a threat to the physical integrity of self or others.
The body's reaction to a Trauma is called Stress.
If the Stress reaction occurs within 4 weeks of the Trauma then you are experiencing Acute Stress.
After 4 weeks the experience is referred to
as Posttraumatic Stress.
