Kiely is available to see adults and children ages five and older, as well as families, for counseling services. She is proficient in helping individuals and families improve communication skills and is happy to work with clients to learn and apply healthy coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, historical trauma, and personality issues.

She primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy, while integrating aspects of family systems and Adlerian theory in order to address the mental and environmental barriers to change. Kiely views the therapeutic relationship as most important to facilitate this change. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling services or you’ve been through a number of providers trying to find your ‘fit,’ she will work hard to help you feel comfortable and safe as you progress in therapy using transparency, humor, and reflective feedback.

Kiely’s primary area of experience has been treating substance use and co-occurring disorders, as well as working with family members affected by a loved one’s addiction. She is proficient in completing ASAM-compliant assessments and can help refer you or a loved one to residential or outpatient substance abuse treatment if necessary, as well as provide continuing care support upon discharge.

Kiely earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University. She is passionate about the power of counseling and maintains her Licensed Clinical Mental Health designation in Iowa, which requires continuing education to provide updated, informed, ethical, and effective treatment.
